Abstract:
Today’s students have experienced four academic years defined by disruptive changes brought on by the global pandemic, new AI technologies, global changes, and new levels of anxiety and stress. Assessments and grades are stressors that contribute to students’ anxieties and stress while being powerful motivators for learning and a required academic component. This interactive session will involve presentation and discourse. We will discuss: assessment of learning, for learning and as learning and the roles for each in online and traditional classroom classes. Innovate assessments using new and traditional technologies that to foster deeper learning and mitigate student stress will be shared.
