Fostering Learning with Kahoot, an Alternative Student Response System to Poll Everywhere
Kahoot is a student response system that is free to use by instructors and appears to be an easy-to-use tool for creating in-class polls, quizzes and surveys. In this training workshop, learn how to make multiple-choice quizzes and surveys that provide opportunities for students to compete with each other for points. Kahoot is an audience response system that is widely popular and a suitable replacement for Poll Everywhere.
After this workshop you will be able to:
- Create quizzes or attendance questions to conduct in-class
- Set up surveys for students to complete prior to class
- Use a Kahoot game to test or engage learners
- Import results into a gradebook in UMMoodle
Participants are advised to bring a laptop on which to create quizzes and surveys.
