Project Description

Effective teaching is rooted in continuous reflection and growth. Reflective teaching can take place in many forms. One valuable method of reflective practice is classroom observation, which offers a window into the dynamic interplay of teaching strategies, student engagement and learning environments. This Instructor Observation Form is designed to support teaching staff in enhancing teaching effectiveness through constructive feedback and shared learning. We have prepared three versions: instructor observation form,  self-observation form (for video recording) and self-reflection form.

While a general structure is provided, users are welcome to adapt the form to suit specific contexts, disciplines or teaching goals. We hope that this tool serves as a practical and supportive resource for enhancing teaching effectiveness at UM.
