This interactive workshop explores strategies for redesigning assessment tasks so that resilience is built structurally, and compliance draws on awareness of the cognitive costs of outsourcing, rather than relying on rules or prohibitions. We will examine opportunities and risks around simultaneously addressing assessment validity, security and accessibility, share examples of authentic and AI-inclusive approaches, and reimagine existing tasks to focus on process, cognitive growth, and meaningful student engagement.
