Abstract:
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) conducts evaluation of subjects and teaching each semester via the Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ). Since moving to fully online administration of the SFQ in the 2015/16 academic year, the University has made enhancements to the way in which results are reported and the information available to teaching staff from the survey. In this workshop we will look at how these changes can improve teachers’ use of the results for enhancing teaching and learning, discuss their suitability as quality assurance and quality enhancement measures and explore other ways of evaluating the quality of teaching.
About the Speaker:
Dr Christine Armatas is Associate Director Educational Development at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has over 20 years’ experience working in school, faculty and central roles as an academic, curriculum developer and evaluation expert.
