CTLE Teaching Conversation on Teaching Strategies and Student Feedback

Two talks and conversations on:
1) Guided reinvention: a perspective of teaching in quantitative finance
In this talk, Prof. Tony Zhenjiang Qin will share his experiences of teaching with the idea of “guided reinvention” to share eureka moments with students.

Tony Qin is an assistant professor of finance at the Department of Finance and Business Economics, Faculty of Business Administration. He received his Ph.D. degree in finance from Aarhus University in Denmark. He has taught at UM for five years now. He has received the FBA Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence, 2021/2022, and FBA Outstanding Teaching Award, 2020/2021.

2) Ideas for communicating student feedback with forums
In an informal presentation by Dr. Chris Fulton, examples of effective feedback will be provided. In addition, participants will be invited to explore examples of  feedback with discussion forums.
