This seminar brings together UM’s English language instructors and content course instructors to discuss specific strategies to help students learn in English. The English Language Centre (ELC) will share what it is doing to help students navigate their academic discourse community; topics to be covered include UM context, academic study skills, and soft skills. Invited content course instructors will share their experience in facilitating UM students’ learning in an English medium environment. We hope to provide a platform for conversations and better understanding of our T&L context.
