Vaccinate Against Cheating with Random Quiz Questions

Quizzes can be used to promote academic integrity on assessments. By making quizzes with different sets of questions, thus creating a unique test for each student, opportunities for collusion can be reduced. In this demonstration, you will learn how to set up a quiz that has questions which are randomly selected from a question pool. In addition, we will discuss ways to make quizzes more authentic assessments.

Applying Peer Instruction to Improve Conceptual Learning

An excellent way to hold the attention of learners in class is to use active learning strategies and online polls. Peer instruction is one approach that uses polls to provide learners with instantaneous feedback during classroom activities. In this session participants will find out how to conduct interactive, peer instruction activities in with online polls for any discipline, from science to humanities.
