On 8 Dec 2023, at the invitation of Tsinghua University, Prof. Katrine Wong, Director of CTLE, spoke at 2023 Symposium on Teaching Development of University Faculty, held at Tsinghua University. This Symposium was jointly organized by Tsinghua University, Fudan University, East China Normal University, Xiamen University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and Xidian University. In her keynote presentation, Katrine shared with leaders and administrators of T&L of higher education in China observations on AI in higher education as well as good practices of UM. Katrine was also a speaker in the international roundtable discussion, moderated by Wang Xiaoxiao, Director of Online Education Center, Tsinghua University. Other speakers at the roundtable included leaders of T&L at universities from Singapore and Hong Kong S.A.R.

During her visit in Beijing, Prof. Wong, accompanied by Ms. Aileen Chu of CTLE, attended a meeting with representatives from both Tsinghua University and XuetangX and explored further opportunities of T&L collaboration, including ‘Integrated Teaching and Training Project for Young Teachers in Central and Western Universities’, directed by the department of higher education, Ministiry of education of China, and the host of the said Symposium for next year.

12月8日，教與學優化中心主任王嘉祺教授應邀前往北京，出席〝2023年高校教師教學發展學術研討會〞，並擔任演講嘉賓；她向來自全國的高校領導和行政人員分享了教學上運用人工智能的觀察，以及在澳大校內的相關實踐。王教授亦參與了圓桌論壇，與來自香港和新加坡等地高校的教學管理人員，共同探討數字時代教育和教師提升。論壇由清華大學在線教育中心主任汪瀟瀟主持。是次研討會由清華大學、復旦大學、華東師範大學、廈門大學、西南財經大學、西安電子科技大學共同主辦，並在清華大學校園內舉行。

在北京訪問期間，王教授和中心同事朱凱婷女士與清華大學和學堂在線的代表進行了會面，並探討了進一步的合作機會，包括籌劃澳大派員參與由教育部教師工作司指導的〝中西部高校青年教師式融合教學進修項目〞，以及主辦下屆高校教師教學發展學術研討會等。
