What is it?

A module introducing generative AI and its uses for learners at UM has been developed to promote awareness of best practices, resources and guidelines.

To learn more about generative AI at UM, students can watch the videos in the module, Learning with Generative AI at UM.

Who is it for?

The module is intended for all UM students who wish to know more about how to make use of generative AI in their studies.

When to use it?

This training module would work well as an activity to conduct before an activity or assignment that involves using generative AI. The quiz can be assigned as homework by an instructor and followed up in a class discussion.

Can academic staff view the module?

Academic staff who would like to view the content of the module can request access by sending a request to ctle@um.edu.mo. Academic staff will be granted the role of “non-editing teacher” which will allow them to see the videos and preview the quiz. In addition, that role allows teachers to view a list of students who have successfully completed the module and were awarded a digital badge on UMMoodle.
