Faculty Professional Development Workshops：Raising Awareness of OERs
Date: 21 April 2021
In this awareness session on open educational resources (OERs), speakers will explain the creative commons licenses and how they define the uses of OERs. The focus will be on OER textbooks specifically. They will discuss the barriers to OER for academic staff and what librarians can do to minimise those barriers. They will also cover the elements of “digital rights management free” and “inclusive access” options from publishers and identify OER platforms and search engines as a beginning to discovery.
