Faculty Development Events

CTLE regularly organizes faculty development events, ranging from seminars and workshops to informal conversations, designed to provide UM faculty with professional development opportunities, timely advice on pedagogical approaches and essential skills that enhance teaching and learning at the University of Macau. Participation in professional development events can be counted towards professional development requirement for newly hired faculty.

We also have annual “New Faculty Training”, which provides new faculty members with a general introduction to teaching and learning in the UM context. The training aims to enhance colleagues’ teaching skills, with which colleagues will be able to facilitate more effective teaching and learning at UM. This training will cover topics such as principles of learning, university policies related to T&L, fundamental concepts of course design and e-learning tools including MyUM, SIWeb, UMMoodle, and UM.Yuja.com. 

To support collaborative professional development and promote excellence in teaching, CTLE welcomes requests for faculty–specific workshops and events.
