The University of Macau (UM) was founded in 1981. Its predecessor was the private University of East Asia. Through 34 years of development, UM has become a leading university in Macao, with marked progress in teaching, research, and community service. The only public comprehensive university in Macao, UM has produced more than 26,000 outstanding graduates for society since its founding.

After arriving at the Macau International Airport or at one of the ferry terminals in Macau or Taipa, you may choose to take a taxi from a taxi stand to the University of Macau – Postgraduate House (S1). Show the address in Chinese to the taxi driver, 請帶我去‘澳門大學 橫琴校區 研究生宿舍S1’, or print a taxi card as the driver may not speak English at all. The taxi fare costs around MOP$70 to MOP$120, and can be paid in Hong Kong dollars.
