DESCRIPTION:CTLE Professional Development Workshop:  \nImpact of Reflective Teaching for Inclusive Education in Higher Education \nEvent RecapThis workshop aims to promote academic exchange and sharing of experience to enhance optimization in teaching. Teaching optimization will help improve efficiency and effectiveness of teaching to enhance student’s learning and to achieve better learning outcomes. There will also be practical hands-on tips for teaching as well as case discussion sharing. \nAbstract: \nIn higher education\, teachers face many types of students as all students are unique in their own way. To achieve the best possible way of teaching\, teachers have adopted many types of teaching. Although sometimes teaching is difficult\, it is rewarding and allows growth in individuals. Therefore\, it is important for teachers to constantly reflect on their teaching strategies for inclusive education.  This workshop aims to promote academic exchange and sharing of experience to enhance optimization in teaching. Teaching optimization will help improve efficiency and effectiveness of teaching to enhance student’s learning and to achieve better learning outcomes. There will also be practical hands-on tips for teaching as well as case discussion sharing. \n \nBiography \nProfessor Vivian Wing Yan LEE is currently Associate Professor at the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her area of focus at CLEAR includes inclusive education\, academic advising\, service learning\, students-as-partners\, interprofessional education\, and ethical use of artificial intelligence in Higher Education. She is a clinical pharmacist as well as a clinician-scientist of clinical pharmacy outcomes research. She has received numerous teaching awards including the Faculty Education Award (2018)\, the University Education Award 2014\, Vice Chancellor’s Exemplary Award 2010\, and Master Teacher Award 2012 at CUHK. In addition to her achievement in teaching and research\, Professor Lee is concerned about the students at CUHK and the underprivileged in the community.
