The second workshop will focus on the do’s and don’ts of student-teacher interactions. Its purpose is to provide TA’s with guidelines and insights into how to deal with the teacher-student relationship you will experience as a TA both with students and the course instructor you are working with. We will also touch upon the ethical norms, responsibilities and challenges that all teachers face. The format will be primarily question-and-answer with answers, advice, guidelines, and suggestions being provided by Dean Xitao FAN (FED) and Associate Dean Rose LAI (FBA). You are strongly encouraged to submit questions before hand through the Moodle forum, that you would like Dean FAN and Dean LAI to address and comment on. Questions submitted to the Moodle question forum are anonymous. We will use an interactive mobile based questions site to allow students to submit questions during the workshop.

Remember to complete this workshop you must attend the workshop session, do the short reading and post a short reflection on it in the reading forum on the Moodle site.
